The report states that Oregon’s strong high tech industry will be the major factor as job growth is expected to increase. This increase in technology related jobs is coming from the pent-up demand for those companies that have cut back over the past two years.

With Oregon’s high unemployment rate, job creation is desperately needed.  This can only positively effect the housing market locally in Portland, as Portland real estate numbers have continued the downward spiral for the several months.
