Spring Cleaning the Portland Way: Green
Mar 26th, 2008 | By Bob Broad | Category: Caring for your HomeThis year Easter fell on this first weekend in Spring, so you may not have had the opportunity to make serious headway on your Spring Cleaning. You may not have even had the time to get your required tasks organized.
If you’re really serious about Spring Cleaning, you may have already examined the thorough Housekeeping Cleaning Guide. Or, simply print out the checklist below.
A clean home is a healthier home. A cleaner doesn’t deserve the name if it’s harmful to our health or the environment. If you haven’t already, make the commitment this Spring to shift to non-toxic cleaning products. Especially if you have children in your household. You can even make your own supplies. If dry-cleaning is part of your Spring Cleaning, you might want to consider a eco-friendly dry cleaner that does not use perc.
If you’re looking for a service to help with either spring cleaning or regular cleaning service, I can highly recommend Carlee’s Custom Cleaning. At Carlee’s they use non-toxic cleaners that are safe for people and our environment. Mention the Portland Real Estate Cafe to Carlee at she’ll give you $30 off your first service.
