Alberta Street is the heart of the community’s art scene with many galleries and shops featuring local artists. The Alberta Street Fair is held the last Thursday of the month which showcase the local artists and street performers. With it’s vibrant art scene the area has brought many young professionals demanding a more upscale residence, which has caused the neighborhood to see quite a change over the past few years.
The Hollywood District features a mix of commercial and residential areas, and serves as a shopping hub for the area and the nearby neighborhoods of Grant Park, Laurelhurst, Rose City, and Beaumont. The Hollywood Farmers’ Market is quite popular in the summer months drawing in large crowds from all over the area.
The Concordia neighborhood is just north of Alberta and has quickly become a desirable area due to the proximity to New Seasons market and the McMenamins Kennedy School.
